The CDE sent out CALPADS Update Flash #155 yesterday which reminds LEAs that students that were assessed with the Initial English Language Proficient Assessments (ELPAC) during the school year must also take the Summative ELPAC before the May 31st deadline.  In order for students to take the Summative ELPAC, schools must submit their English Language Acquisition Status (ELAS) values of English Learner (EL) or Initial Fluent English Proficient (IFEP) to CALPADS 24-48 hours before they may be available for testing.

If ELAS is not updated, your LEA risks not being tested which may impact the participation rate.
